Heating & Cooling
Installation, repair, and maintenance for residential and commercial systems.
What we do
We install, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems for homes and commercial buildings across the Chattanooga area — and have done since 1971.
That covers replacing a system that has reached the end of its life, repairing one that has stopped working, and the routine maintenance that keeps the other two from happening unexpectedly.
Equipment we work with
We are not tied to a single manufacturer. Which equipment suits a building depends on its size, ductwork, and how it actually gets used — so the honest answer is that the right brand varies.
| Brand | Typically suited to |
|---|---|
| Trane | Conventional split systems across a wide efficiency range |
| Mitsubishi Electric | Ductless and zoned installs; inverter-driven compressors that modulate rather than cycle on and off |
| Daikin | Variable-capacity systems where quiet operation matters |
| Goodman | Air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces and packaged units, 1.5 to 5 tons |
We hold Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor (Preferred) and Daikin Comfort Pro certification.
Replacing a system
If your system is 15 years or older, efficiency is usually the deciding factor rather than the repair itself. Minimum efficiency standards have risen substantially since the early 2000s, and a system from that era is doing the same job for more money every month it runs.
We will tell you what a repair costs, what a replacement costs, and which one we would choose. If the repair is the better call, that is what we will say.
Maintenance
Most of the failures we get called out to were preventable. The two things that matter most are straightforward:
- Filters — check monthly, replace every one to two months depending on the filter and the household
- Seasonal service — cooling before summer, heating before winter
Ask us about a maintenance agreement if you would rather we simply handled it.
Common questions
How long does a heating and cooling system usually last?
Most residential systems run 15 to 20 years with regular maintenance. Systems that are never serviced tend to fail earlier, and in the Chattanooga climate the cooling side does the heavier work.
Should I repair my system or replace it?
It depends on the age of the system, the cost of the repair, and how efficient the existing unit is. We will give you both numbers and our honest recommendation. We will never try to sell you something you do not need.
Do you work on commercial systems as well as homes?
Yes. The same team services both. Commercial work includes rooftop units, split systems, and planned maintenance agreements.
