Mitsubishi Electric
Ductless and zoned systems. We hold Diamond Contractor (Preferred) status.

Conditionaire holds Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Contractor — Preferred certification.
Why we fit a lot of these
Mitsubishi Electric equipment is inverter-driven, which means the compressor modulates rather than cycling hard on and off. In practice that shows up as steadier temperatures and quieter running — the system spends most of its time at part load instead of blasting and stopping.
The other reason is zoning. Being able to condition one part of a building without conditioning all of it matters more in older Chattanooga housing stock than people expect, because additions and converted attics rarely behave like the rest of the house.
Where it makes sense
- Additions and converted spaces the existing system was never sized for
- Rooms that have always been uncomfortable regardless of thermostat setting
- Buildings with no practical duct route, where running ductwork means losing ceiling height or closet space
- Light commercial spaces where different areas are occupied at different times
Diamond Contractor — Preferred
We hold Mitsubishi Electric’s Diamond Contractor certification at Preferred level. It requires training on their equipment and adherence to their installation standards, and it lets us offer extended warranty terms that are not available through uncertified installers.
If you are comparing quotes, that is a fair question to ask whoever else you are talking to.
What we will tell you honestly
Ductless is not automatically the right answer. If your ductwork is sound and your problems are down to an ageing system rather than the distribution, a conventional replacement usually costs less and performs just as well. We will say so.
Common questions
What does Diamond Contractor status actually mean?
It is a certification Mitsubishi Electric awards to contractors who complete their training and meet installation standards. Practically, it means we are trained on their equipment specifically, and it allows us to offer extended warranty coverage that non-certified installers cannot.
Is ductless right for my house?
It depends on what you are solving. Ductless suits additions, converted spaces, rooms that were always too hot or too cold, and buildings with no usable duct routes. If you already have sound ductwork throughout, a conventional system is usually the better value.
Can one outdoor unit run several rooms?
Yes. A multi-zone setup runs several indoor heads from one outdoor unit, each with its own control. That is the main reason people choose ductless for whole-home comfort rather than a single problem room.
